Who is H.E.A.R.T.

H.E.A.R.T. is a non-profit dedicated to establishing a response crisis model and post crisis counseling for children, ages five (5) through seventeen (17), who suffer from emotional trauma following a disaster, whether man-made or natural, acts of violence and acts of terrorism.

The history of H.E.A.R.T.

The concept for H.E.A.R.T. resulted from it's founder's first hand witnessing the effects; of September 11th had on one small child, while on assignment at Ground Zero and Pier 94, and in witnessing the emotional trauma local children suffer following house fires and the recent September 2004 floods. H.E.A.R.T. will also provide pre and post trauma education to the community and schools.
